About Clairefontaine;

A new product to the UK, the unique surface is quite smooth compared with a lot of other textured surfaces which also makes it ideal for coloured pencil work as well as soft pastel. This is a tough waterproof surface that will suit pastellists who dislike the rougher surfaces.

To describe the paper, it is quite similar to the old snuffingpaper that was very popular but is no longer in production.
